This morning, Supreme officially announced that the long rumored Supreme x Nike Air Streak Spectrum Plus will be releasing this Thursday, June 14th! These shoes seem to be pretty hit or miss for the majority of people, but even if you’re not feeling them, you could always cop for that father’s day present! Gotta keep your pops laced out in the latest dad shoes when you can. These shoes will be releasing in two color ways, the “White/Habanero-Red” and the “Black/Volt”, and will retail for $160. The Supreme x Nike Air Spectrum Plus features a Pylon midsole, TPU midfoot shank, a mesh tongue with puff logo appliqués, suede heel panels, and embossed reflective logos. Plus of course the flame detailing all across the panels of the shoe.
Similar to the Supreme Nike Air Humara, which was released in 2017, Supreme utilizes the power of hype to give a new look to a once forgotten about sneaker. Typically when Supreme and Nike collaborate, it’s on a not so popular shoe model, which brings attention to the unpopular Nike shoe. This time with a more retro “trendy” dad shoe, which will likely appeal to a lot of the dad dressed thrift shoppers which has become a fairly large trend of its own.
The Supreme x Nike Air Streak Spectrum Plus Spring 2018 collection will release online and in the NY, LA, London, and Paris stores on June 14. Japan will see a June 16 release.
