The face of the Spring/Summer 2018 photo tee has been announced. This years photo tee (12th photo tee Supreme’s made) will feature legendary music producer Rick Rubin. For those not familiar with Rick Rubin, he’s most notably known for being the co founder of Def Jam Records. Rick Rubin has worked with some of the biggest artists in different music genres ranging from AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Frank Ocean, Jay Z, Kanye West, and many more. He won the title “the most important producer of the last 20 years” from MTV in 2007, and also was featured in Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world!
Rick Rubin has had a huge influence on popularizing hip hop music throughout the years and has worked on some hugely popular songs such as 99 Problems by Jay Z, Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1 by Kanye West, and many more. And now he will be the face of Supreme’s Spring/Summer 2018 photo tee, which is a definitely a big deal. Supreme really has the power to give a lot of attention to different artists that they choose to feature on their photo tees, and much deserved for the Supreme Rick Rubin photo tee. I’ve seen a good amount of people having no idea who Rick Rubin is after seeing the photo tee leak, so I thought it was much needed to give some background on the man, incase you find yourself caught up in front of a Complex camera with no idea who this legend is.
