If you’re looking to pick up a Supreme satin baseball jersey, you should be aware that there have been fakes made of this piece, and I’ve definitely seen some fakes on the resell market. Today I’ll be going into detail teaching you guys exactly how to legit check one of these jerseys. The first thing worth noting is that the best fakes out there only cost around $30, and the authentic piece retailed for $128, so obviously there will be a quality difference. But let’s get into it.
Fake Supreme Satin Baseball Jersey Flaws:
- Neck Tag
- Lettering/Stitching
- Front Lower Tag
Neck Tag Flaw:
For this flaw we will be looking at the tag on the inside of the neck of the jersey. The fake tag does say all of the correct words, but all of the words are in a bold font, while on the authentic jerseys, the font should not be bolded at all. The fake tag is also slightly the wrong size, it’s a little to wide, and not long enough. Most noticeable by looking at the amount of extra space above the Supreme logo on the tag, or the amount of space below the RN number at the bottom of the tags.
Here’s an example picture:
Lettering/Stitching Flaw:
For this flaw we will be looking at the “Supreme” text that goes across the front of the jerseys. On the fake jersey, the “S” in “Supreme” is noticeably wonky when you have it up next to the authentic jersey. Certain parts of the “S” aren’t thick enough, or curve weird. For the stitching part of this flaw, we will be looking at the first “e” in “Supreme”. The fake jerseys have the stitching going over the “e”, while on the authentic jerseys it shouldn’t be visible on top of the letter at all.
Here’s an example picture:
Front Lower Tag Flaw:
For this flaw we will be looking at the Supreme tag on the lower left of the front of the jersey. The fake tag is the wrong material, and is just cheap quality, while on the authentic it should be good quality and almost like a thin patch material. You should also be able to see white stitching all around the outline of the patch, but the fakes don’t have that white stitching.
