So you’re in the market for a Supreme Nas tee, but aren’t sure exactly how to make sure it’s an authentic piece from Supreme. I’ll tell you right now, I’ve seen a ton of fake Nas tees hitting the market, especially on Instagram. Fakes of these tees are decent, and definitely might be able to fool people who aren’t super familiar with the authentic tee, but fakes are missing a few key things which we can use to legit check these tees. So let’s get into it!
Keep in mind F/W17 was also when Supreme changed their t-shirt sizing. Authentic shirts from F/W17 fit about a size large (Medium fits like a large etc.), which replica makers didn’t take into account for any F/W17 tees. This is a very good way to legit check these tees based on how they fit. Any F/W17 tee that someone says fits small for it’s size is 100% fake.
Fake Supreme Nas Tee Flaws:
- Crease In Nas’s Beanie
- Color Saturation
- RN Number On The Tag
Crease In Nas’s Beanie Flaw:
This is one of the first things I’ll look for when legit checking one of these tees, just because it’s super easy to see, and no fakes have gotten this right. For this flaw, we will be looking at Nas’s beanie. When Supreme shot this picture for the tee, Nas was wearing a cuffed beanie. On the fakes of this tee, you can’t actually make out the crease in the fold of the beanie. While on the authentic tee, you should be able to clearly see there’s a crease in his beanie. If there’s no visible crease, and it just looks like a plain (not cuffed) beanie, then it’s very likely fake.

Color Saturation Flaw:
This is another big flaw, but can be a little more difficult to notice if you’re not super familiar with the Nas tee. The graphic on the fakes is just to saturated, the lightings wrong in a lot of areas, and there’s really just not enough detail in the image. For example, the buttons on the inside of Nas’s open coat in the image just look like little black dots on the fake tee, while on the authentic you can see a much clearer small metal button. A good amount of spots (left face cheek, lips, Nas’s gold necklace) are all to dark on the fake also, I’m sure you’ll be able to see the differences in the example below.

RN Number On The Tag Flaw:
One of the easiest ways to legit check these tees for sure, although it’d be a pretty simple flaw to fix, which is why I started with the flaws that replica makers won’t be able to get right. But for this flaw we will be looking at the fairly newly introduced RN number on the back of the tags. All of the fake Nas tees that have been made don’t have the RN number on the back of the tags, while obviously all the authentic tees do have.
Note: Also worth noting that Supreme had quality control issues on the Nas tees where some people’s legit Nas tees came without a period at the end of “U.S.A” on the tag. That’s typically a sign of a fake with Supreme tees, but it’s not in the case of the Supreme nas tee.
