If you’re looking to cop a Supreme elephant tee from S/S17, you should be aware that fakes have been made of this piece, and some have likely made their way to the resell market. I’ll be teaching you guys exactly how to authenticate one of these tees, to make sure it’s an authentic piece from Supreme. So let’s get into it!
Fake Supreme Elephant Tee Flaws
- Letter Designs
- Graphic Color + Shading
- Tag Font
Letter Designs Flaw:
For this flaw, we will be looking at the “Supreme” text directly below the elephant graphic on the front of the tee. On the fake tee, you can barely see the little designs that the letters are made out of, but on the authentic tee, you should be able to see a much more detailed design that makes up the Supreme text. The letters on the fake tee almost look like they’re just made out of pink circles, but the letters on the authentic tee look like very detailed designs, I’m sure you’ll be able to see the difference in the example picture.

Graphic Color + Shading Flaws:
For these flaws, we will be looking at the same text and graphic from the last flaw. The pink color on the elephant and text is very off on the fake tee. It’s very noticeable when put up next to the authentic piece, and I’m sure you can see the difference in color. The shading is also off in a lot of places on the elephant graphic. Some spots are to light, and some are to dark in the wrong spots.

Tag Font Flaw:
This flaw is exactly how it sounds. On the fake tees, the font is just the wrong font. This can be a harder flaw to spot if you’re not super familiar with Supreme tags, but with the other flaws I’ve listed, you should have no problem legit checking one of these tees.

Hope this helped you guys legit check a Supreme elephant tee!
