Supreme’s Fall/Winter 2018 preview revealed that Supreme will be releasing the first bike since 1998 (which was extremely limited). Much like the original 1998 bike release, this Supreme x Santa Cruz bike is expected to be very limited, rumored to be only 104 bikes produced.
The retail price for the bike has been confirmed at $2,698, and is set to drop for Supreme’s week 17 drop on Thursday, December 13th. If the rumors of such a limited release are true, I’d expect resell prices around at least $10,000. So if you’ve got the disposable income when the drop time comes, this bike will definitely be a smart investment piece.
I don’t see this bike being used for anything more than a collectors piece, considering it’d be pretty risky locking up, or even riding a $10,000 bike anywhere. But there’s guaranteed more collectors after this bike than their will be bikes produced, and as always some bikes will definitely be backdoored to friends and family, making the number actually released even less.
